NYARUGURU DISTRICT AT THE TOURIST EXHIBITION IN COLMAR, FRANCE

Since Saturday November 9, 2024, the Steering Committee for the Development of Tourism in the Nyaruguru District (COPIL) has been participating in the tourism exhibition taking place in Colmar in the city of Strasbourg, France. It is under the invitation of Tourism Without Borders.

This exhibition takes place every year, but it is the first time that Tourism Without Borders invites the District of Nyaruguru to promote Rwanda, Nyaruguru and Kibeho in order to interest pilgrims in religious tourism there.

According to the organizer, the progress of tourism in this geographical area is based on three actors: District of Nyaruguru, Diocese of Gikongoro and ADENYA. There is great potential in this region. The Diocese of Gikongoro and the Sanctuary of Kibeho constitute a guarantee for the development of tourism in this territory.

As for Father Jean Pierre Gatete, vice-rector of the Kibeho Sanctuary, it is an opportunity to exchange experience with other countries to learn how to welcome those who visit Kibeho and Nyaruguru.

The Rwanda team exhibits materials showing the beauty of Rwanda, Rwandan coffee and tea as well as devotional objects related to the apparitions of the Mother of the Word in Kibeho. They also explain the message of the Mother of the Word intended for the whole world.
